COVE and COCOON CAY
Our pool area, Chrysalis Cove, offers something for everyone in
the family. The large pools, water slides, a rope suspension bridge, two kids’ age appropriate play zones, and a quarter
mile lazy river. We also offer a unique water slide that takes you through a glass enclosed tunnel where you can observe
water life in our one of a kind saltwater pond, Larvae Lagoon.
The pool area is on 8 acres of lush, rich and beautiful
scenery with our butterfly theme throughout the entire area. As you enter Chrysalis
Cove, you will see the symbols of our resort, giant butterflies that will spray a stream of water out every three minutes
for a cool, refreshing spritz. Shallow entryways into the pools allow for easy access for all our guests. Swim,
splash and play in our eco friendly pool and feel refreshed and ready for another big day at the parks. One pool, furtherest from the lobby entrance is available for the exclusive use of our adult guests. Cross the lazy river via a small wooden bridge and enter a private paradise. It is separated from the other pool areas by lush butterfly plants and is designed
with adult relaxation in mind. Cabanas line the area providing shade and a spot
for a poolside massage from the professionals of Spa Metamorphosis. Near the large main pool, you can swim over to The Nectar Poolside Bar and order your favorite refreshments,
have a seat at an umbrella table or just stay in the water on an underwater chaise lounge or bar stool right at the bar.
Feeling lazy? Come on over to our lazy river. You
can float around the entire pool area and relax and enjoy all the lush scenery that surrounds our resort. Complimentary
tubes and rafts are available at all entry points into the river. You could spend an entire day floating around Chrysalis
Cove.

If you are
looking for some excitement, we have several water slides for your enjoyment. Climb
the stairs and enter our Cocoon Tube. You will feel like you are transforming into a butterfly as you zip down
the 40 foot vertical drop slide and through the tunnel. You will fly out of the tube and into bubbly water. It's a ride
you will want to do over and over again!
Want something
a bit slower paced, then get into a tube and take a slide that is more serene. The
Flow will carry you on softly up and down several hills and into a glass enclosed tunnel. As you float through the tunnel
you will have a panoramic view of the sea life that surrounds you, as you float through our saltwater Larvae Lagoon. This
is a ride you won't want to miss.
Cocoon Cay,
our kiddie play area, has something for every age. Two distinctively different
play zones offer wonderful interactive experiences for both younger children and the tween and teen age groups.
Younger kids can play in fountains, get sprayed by our lifelike animals, thrill on slides of all
sizes, and run through waterfalls. Older kids can have water battles, enjoy larger
slides and zip lines, and even try a simulated boogie board experience.
In Cocoon Cay, you will also find our toddler
pool which offers a pint size slide just for your littlest ones. They can play
in the water that is only inches deep or run through the waterfalls that surround the pool.
When they tire out just put them in one of our shaded butterfly nets (hammocks)
that hang from the trees for a little nap. Pool attendants can even bring you
a snack from one of our restaurants, should the kids get hungry.
As with the rest of The Monarch, the pools here are Eco-Friendly as well. All of our pools use an Ozone Filtration System for the purest and cleanest water for
your swimming enjoyment. Although the initial cost of the Ozone Filtration System
is higher than other types of pool cleansing systems, the Ozone system has many advantages. The Ozone system has a much longer
life than traditional chlorine and brine based systems. The wear and tear on the pool and heating equipment is minimal, and
no chemicals need to be purchased. In addition, the risks that come with a chlorine system, both to the health of swimmers,
particularly asthmatics, and to the environment, as chlorine is a harsh chemical, are not found with an Ozone system.

Watsu is a gentle form of body therapy performed in our indoor warm water (around 97 degrees) watsu pool. It combines
elements of massage, joint mobilization, shiatsu, muscle stretching and dance. You will be continuously supported while being
floated, cradled, rocked and stretched. The deeply relaxing effects of warm water and nurturing support, combine with Watsu's
movements, stretches, massage and point work, to create a bodywork with a range of therapeutic benefits and potential healing
on many levels.
