Just as the monarch butterfly has a brilliant, dazzling display upon its emergence from its chrysalis, The Monarch
will put on a dazzling show for its grand opening. In light of The Monarch’s passion for conservation and preserving
the natural environment, the Grand Opening Celebration will be held on Earth Day, April 22. The hotel lobby and grounds will
become a stage for all those who get the privilege of taking part in the Grand Opening.
Guests are invited to mingle and take in the beauty of the hotel when they arrive. From noon to 6:00 pm, the hotel
and all of its activities will be open for guests to tour and enjoy. At 6:00 pm, we ask that guests join us in the lobby
for the festivities, as the lights will be dimmed, and a rainbow of various colors will illuminate the space above as dancers repel
from the ceiling, telling the story of the birth and rebirth of the caterpillar into the beautiful Monarch Butterfly.

As the acrobatic dancers conclude their graceful dance in the sky, the beat of a drum can be heard as well as a soft
chant. Seminole tribesmen escort a woman onto the stage. This woman is legendary Seminole storyteller, Betty Mae
Jumper. She will command the audience next with her passion and practice of the art of storytelling. Jumper will
share the stories of the Earth, which she feels are so important to continue to pass down through generations and to help
preserve all Mother Earth has given us.

Seminole Dancers will electrify guests |
As the stories come to a close, a loud chant fills the lobby. A Seminole Dance Troupe entertains with a vivacious
stomp dance. Following their dance, the Troupe leads guests to the tents set up around the pool area for an amazing
dinner prepared under the supervision of The Monarch's own celebrity chefs, Rachael Ray and Harold Dieterle. Guests
will enjoy fresh and organic offerings from the land and sea, including produce grown in our on-property vegetable garden.
Delicacies will be served to each table by a white gloved staff, and guests will be entertained during dinner by the
New World Symphony.

Following dinner, guests are invited back into the lobby for more entertainment. Energetic and entertaining activist
Bindi Irwin, daughter of the late Steve Irwin, will share her story of wildlife conservation. Bindi will bring some
of her animal friends and talk about how to save the environment we all hold so dearly. Bindi and her friends will then
have the honor of introducing our headline act for the evening, Josh Groban.

Grammy nominated Josh Groban will begin his performance with a piano solo. He is then joined by the beautiful songstress,
Charlotte Church, as they sing "The Prayer". He will continue to entertain solo with several songs from his latest
release, Awake, in addition to fan favorite "Believe".

All guests in attendance for the Grand Opening will take home a special themed package in commemoration of
The Monarch Grand Opening. Included in the package are special hand-painted butterfly jewelry boxes, and, for the chocolate-lover,
an egg filled with the finest butterfly-shaped chocolate. A limited edition Topaz pin will also be included in
the package. Finally, in an effort to spur the love of the Earth in all the invited guests, each attendee
will receive a tree sapling in a personalized tube from The Monarch.

GRAND OPENING PROMOTION
In order to generate buzz about The Monarch, a contest will be held prior to the Grand Opening. Promoted via the DIS
( www.wdwinfo.com), of which both the Mickey's World Duck and Shark Hotels are a sponsor, the contest will grant three winners and their
families the honor of attending the Grand Opening. The prize will be a stay at The Monarch for its Grand Opening celebration, special
tickets for the Grand Opening Celebration, airfare, park tickets, and $1000 spending money. To win, contestants will write
an essay, under 1000 words, about how they are eco-friendly in their own homes. From the entries, ten finalists will be selected
and have their entries posted on the DISboards, a message board segment of the DIS. A popular vote will determine the three
winners. This contest will be open to U.S. citizens, age 18 and older.
